Return from Vacation

Well... I returned from a short vacation last week to a little bit of amusement. My boss apparently thought that he required me to do a part of his job. This normally isn't that much of an issue, for him of course. But, this time I think it turned out to be. He actually said, in a meeting full of other department heads and some upper level executives "I can't ship that because isn't here today."

Normally this isn't really that big of a deal, I don't personally handle the shipping either, but I know who to delegate it to. And as a manager, you'd think he would know his own department enough to also know who to delegate such a simple task to. Nope, he didn't. So, I come back and was assaulted with humorous version after another of this event. So, at least he recognizes that without me, he'd fail miserably at his job.
