A couple of months ago my manager got this bright idea into his head that installing an additional door 7 ft down the wall would be a huge improvement in performance and accuracy. Personally, I fail to see how this is anything but a waste of money considering this room already had 3 doors into/out of the room and this new door serves really no purpose.
So, the door got installed this past weekend, I'm still not sure how it got approved when a re-organization of the room would have accomplished the same goal at the small cost of a couple of man hours. The installation was not quite complete though, the installer had to come back and add a transition plate.
As I'm coming back from lunch I see that this installer is on site and installing this plate. I also see my manager and supervisor come waltzing around the corner. My supervisor keeps walking, but my manager stops, looks down at the guy and says, in a very matter of fact arrogant way "Hey, I ordered that door, good job!" I about DIED laughing. I don't really have any idea what purpose my manager thought that would accomplish or if he thought it made him feel important or what, but by god it was hilarious!
