Well... I applied for a QA Position at my work a couple weeks ago. I interviewed yesterday. Three of our IT guys came in to grill me pretty badly. Asked a bunch of questions, some of which I knew how to answer, some of which I thought I knew how to answer and others which left me saying "huwhah?" However, I think the interview went pretty well. I left feeling like they were interested in me. Of course, I have a distinct advantage over all the other candidates, I know our proprietary systems already.
The other great thing about this job, it would be a huge promotion both in pay rate and just overall oppurtunities for growth. I'm not saying it would not be a difficult job, but it definately would be challenging and fun.
Here's to hoping I get it!
